“My concern with the proposed development is the lack of affordable housing integrated into the new units. The neighbourhood is currently home to a diverse range of households that contribute to a vibrant community in Centretown at Bank Street. The displacement of the people in the apartment building proposed for development will likely be a permanent change for most of those people. The inclusion of affordable housing units in the development proposal provides some opportunity for the current households to return to the building upon development. ”
