BBT is fundraising so we can appeal our eviction orders and we need your support. Our eviction orders came in August 2025, but we are now working hard to overturn them based on new evidence.
If you’ve read the recent Ottawa Citizen article about our building, you’ll know a few key things:
- BBT fought hard to keep our homes
- Smart Living and their investor pals demovicted us
- We shouted from the rooftop that there wasn’t a snowball’s chance in hell Smart Living would follow through on the development
- Jeff Leiper and the rest of the Planning and Housing Committee and City Council still supported the demoviction.
